Hello,

I noticed some small jitters when watching 1080p h.264 videos on my system. Tried several codecs, including CoreAVC, Windows 7's default, FFDshow with no change. I also turned on the Dynamic Refresh Rate feature in Mediaportal Configuration, didnt't help either.

I'd like the playback to be as smooth as a BluRay movie, so that all of the movie's frames are displayed for equally long time.

My system specs are following:

3,0 Ghz Core i5
nVidia GTS 450
2 monitors, 1 TV (DVI+HDMI+HDMI)

Strange is though, the jitters are more pronounced when played on the TV.(It's a Sony Full HD Bravia.

Any idea how to get it running smooth?

thanks

    Hi there,

1.2.3 is the current stable version
1.3.0 is currently in Alpha (but based up on the well established MP 1.2.3 version)

MP2 (currently in Alpha) is a completely new version written from the ground up that will succeed Mediaportal 1.x.x

I think Sprag got confused here ;)

    Hi Jaro

I know some nvidia drivers were behaving badly regarding video, some people over at the nvidia forums stated that pre 250.xx drivers were fine, but after that jitter was introduced, cannot confirm myself as only even older drivers work for me.

Also try turning Aero off if using Win7, some people have experienced good results doing that, even though its not recommended.

    Regards

I'm sorry for posting in the wrong forum, thought 1.2.3 is referred to as 2. Feel free to move this topic to the right section, I'll find it. I'll post the logs and EVR as I get home. Also I'll give MP2 a try.
