How do i open Media Portal with MCE remote? (1 Viewer)

im using the mce remote on xp home with the xp pro IR drivers, to make it work on home.

i have tried HIP and i can open MP from the control with that, but wen i press a button is moved 2 button presses.

anyone had this problem and know how to resolve it?

note: it works when i open it with mouse and not thru HIP with remote

Remote replacement driver

I solved the problem using a replacement driver.

i got the replacement driver, but now i cant use the different volume settings it will only go up and down in the (approx) 5mm chunks in the windows sound properties thing.

what do i do?

hang on... solved that problem finally.

now the play, stop , pause skip, FF etc buttons wont work on my media control in MP! how do i fix this?

If you have a genuine MCE remote, then there is no need to use HIP - you just need mptray to enable the "green button" to launch MediaPortal and then all the other buttons will work correctly....
