Hi,

Was wondering if there are any of you out there who knows what are the available options to turn on the PC from a shutdown state?

After doing some research, the options that I have found are:
1). iMon 2.4G DT (the LT does not turn on the PC from shutdown state)
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Soundgraph/iMON24g
2). Logisys Remote Multiunction Panel
http://www.logisyscomputer.com/viewsku.asp?SKUID=FP800BK&DID=FRONTPANEL
3). USB kit from ocinside
http://www.ocinside.de/go_e.html?ht..._ultra_ir_receiver/usb_ultra_ir_receiver.html
4). X10 Home Remote option
(was discussed on one thread but I'm not interested in that method)
5). I remember reading about a complete kit USB IR kit (fully assembled) to turn on PC also but couldn't find the thread again (anybody knows where it is)?

Are there any other options?
Please chime in as I've been spoilt by my XBOX mod and would really like to gain an extra pound or 2 from sitting on my couch and turning on my HTPC with a remote without walking the 8ft from the couch to the PC.

Thanks.

Put the PC into hibernate state, the power consumptions is the same as if shutdown. Then you have lots of options to fire up the machine e.g with the MCE remote.

If u have little PIC knowledge u can turn ON ur PC very easyly as Iam:)

I use this little Circuit for it. Actually this is how do i apply it to my HTPC > I use small 5V realy for simulate pressing the PC power button. And after complete shutdown there is a 5V stand by voltage. So i use it for run this little CCT. Its very simple and working grate.

    Good Luck
