Hi!

I've read that i can store for each movie a nfo-file wich contains the imdb-ID so Moving-Pictures can handle all Infos automatically without handling in the configuration

%Moviename.jpg% and %Moviename%-Backdrop.jpg are also present.

but how does it work with the nfo-file? do I only have to write the imdB-ID as it is in the nfo-file and nothing more?

What do I have to set in the configuration that moving pictures looks in the nfo-file?

please help!

What do I have to set in the configuration that moving pictures looks in the nfo-file?

Moving Pictures Configuration -> Importer Settings:
tick "Scan movie folder for info files..." and "Auto approve..."

how does it work with the nfo-file?

create a new .txt or .nfo file which says the complete imdb-link (e.g. The International (2009)). Place the file in the movie directory.

i'm just using the tt numbers in that file and it also works fine

so for "The International" my nfo file would just have a single line :

    tt0963178

I forgot to say that I only use ofdb and here your solution doesn't work.

    if I paste a OFDB-Link like this:

    Code:
    http://www.ofdb.de/film/967,Gladiator

    nothing happens.

    What could I do?

Or is it possible to use the german imdb? how?

    Another question:

is it possible to force in the .nfo File the Film Title (and/or the whole database Film information)?

I need the Film title 1. for films that are stored on DVD, because I rename them to "%title% #DVD" and 2. for films that are have to be named in a specific way like most collections, where I have to insert a Number or change the whole name, for example:

    Alien 1
    Alien 2
    ...

    Star Wars Episode 1...
    ...
    Star Wars Episode 6...

This functions are all required for adding films in my archive by my notebook without touching the HTPC (mediaportal-config)

    thanks

you always need to put in the imdb number, no matter what scraper you are using.
i'm also using ofdb.de and MovingPictures uses the imdb number to get the right movie from ofdb (ofdb stores the imdb number too, so the right movies are found). Generally it doesn't matter if you take the imdb number from the us imdb or the german imdb, the numbers are the same.
