how does 'PC' button on MCE remote work? (1 Viewer)

There is a 'PC' button on the top right corner of the MCE remote and when I hit it, the pc is turned off or goes in some kind of sleep mode or something.
How do I turn the pc back on? When I hit the on button on my pc the fans start running again but no image... Whatever I do, the connection to my tv or receiver keeps lost...

Hi there,

Could you confirm your power settings? Hybrid, sleep, hibernation (S3/S4 type stuff).

Also can you run MePo in debug mode before you press the PC button on your remote, and then after you have "woken" it put your the logs/config here.

I've never looked into that, where do I see that? I normally have my pc on or off, that's all I know
In addition, when I hold the pc's on button for 5 seconds so the pc shuts down, and then turn it on again with th on button, the connection to the tv and receiver is still not there, only fans...

EDIT: uhm...I can't seem to get my pc to start up again after i accidentally hit that #@&#@ pc button on my remote :s It stays in some kind of weird state with only the fans running :s

EDIT2: oh man, this is really annoying! what did that button do?! :s Even switching the button on the back of my pc and pulling out the power cable didn't help!
how do i get my pc out of this state??

EDIT3: I had to pull out my motherboards battery to get my pc to start up again after I hit that pc button in MP by accident! I had to set the system time and date and fan speed in the bios again since all that was lost. After that, my pc started up again, but without having to log in! So it still looked like it came out of some kind of sleep state... All network connections were lost though :s I REALLY don't get it... Can somebody please explain? Is this a MP bug, a MCE remote bug, a Windows 7 bug or something else?

Also, where do I set this Hybrid, sleep, hibernation (S3/S4 type stuff)?
Now, how do I disable this button in the MP configuration? There is an option for the TV button but there doesn't seem to be an input in the MP config for the PC button...
