How I change filesize to 3.9GB? (1 Viewer)

I am recording TV shows on Notebook, then I need to copy files to my external FAT32 HDD so I can plug it into my PS3 and copy files to my PS3 and watch the TV shows on my TV.

The PS3 cannot read NTFS.

FAT32 don't allow more than 3.9GB filesize.

Is it possible to tell MediaPortal to stop recording at 3.9GB and then continue into a new file?

Oh no Jim Please don't tell me that Mediaportal is unable to record to certain filesizes?

You mean I need to use an external program, filesplitter?

Will those split files still be able to be recognised as an MPEG file on my PS3?

you could re-encode them first - that would cut them right down in size. .TS is not a very efficient format, so you could get a significant compression ratio by running MCEbuddy and letting it automatically convert in the background. That would be another way of getting the file sizes manageable and not having to manually 'run' anything. MCEbuddy is pretty much set and forget
