Sorry for this simple question, but I searched and searched and the answer just isn't on the forums or in the docs.

How can I remove unused skins? If I just delete their respective folder, the Windows Installer Program starts up (when MediaPortal is started) and displays an error. Apparently you can't just delete them.

So how do you do it?

:D

I would keep the Blue2 folders, because they are 'default' skins. All other skins you don't use, you should just be able to delete. Also remove their folders from the 'cache' folder in the MediaPortal root catalogue (I assume you're running SVN builds). Or just try hiding them using Explorer.

It is just a matter of deleting the unused skin folders from the MediaPortal\skin directory through windows explorer.

Okay, I've played with it some more.

My mistake was that I had deleted the "Blue 2 Wide" skin, I thought I had added that one myself but I guess it was included in the initial installation (wasn't it?).

    So, problem solved.

    Thank you:D

Yes B2 and B2wide are included in the initial installation. In former releases of MediaPortal there where several skins included, but they where removed in later releases.
