I am considering Media Portal as a replacement front-end for Zoom Player, but there is still one important (to me) problem that I need help with.

I use Intervideo WinDVD 7 as video decoder for dvd's, and in zoom player (and in WinDVD itself) I can use the "Intervideo Sharpness" filter, which is a built-in filter in WinDVD. It is an "additional filter" in zoom player, and I figured I could do the same in DVD setup in media portal. But the filter is not listed there. Any ideas where I can find it? Is it even possible?

And no, I don't like ffdshow as a post processor. 100% CPU and bad image quality in my opinion.

Let's put it like this:

How do I add a REGISTERED filter dll to post processing for dvd playback when it doesn't appear in the filters list?

I'm sure it is registered in the system, and it works in other apps.

Hi Salmoneus,

Atm if the filter is not listed you cannot add, it. You should perhaps give us a bit more information like the filename, where it is listed (which category) E.G. in RadLight Filter Manager or in Graphedit.

And how to get a copy of this file (which version to buy ?)

Thanks

Filename is sharpness.dll and the filter is listed as an additional filter in Zoomplayer's DVD setup for example. The file resides in the WinDVD installation directory.

I use WinDVD 8 Platinum, but I guess Gold version contains it too. Intervideo has trial versions as free downloads.

I'll try RadLight Filter Manager when I get home...

Try this filter, it makes wonders for a dvd image on large displays!
