I requested the timeout on pause mini-osd progress bar (like they did in MCE), and hope one day it will be implemented:

I would like the developers to realise that the whole idea of Pause is not just Pause and go somewhere or answer the phone call, but sometimes we need to pause in order to see the objects on the screen better. In my case I pause to read the subtitles, but the blue progress bar closes the subtitles.

In the meantime, I hope somebody can tell me what to modify in the Blue3 or even better Blue3Wide xmls in order to permanently get rid of OSD on pause, show the paused movie frame only.

    Thank you.

I guess I had to figure out myself how to modify the skin xml files. This required removing player.paused condition in a few places in common.play.progressbar.xml and videoFullScreen.xml. Now I can pause without annoying mini OSD.

Developers: We need the mini progressbar on rewinding, fast forwarding, but we do not need it to stay permanently on pause. We can always call a big OSD manually via Info button if we need to see the time line in paused state.

Attached are my modified files for Blue3wide skin along with original .xml files for comparison in case somebody is interested. If somebody knows how to do it better, please share your ideas.
