Hi,

Is anyone able to advise how I can get the Remote from my TwinhanDTV Ter working with MP.

The directional buttons, Ok and Channel UP/Down, Cancel & Back buttons work ok but none of the other do. The Volume Up/Down does the same thing as Directional Up/Down.

I'd like to be able to Press the channel Number (1,2,3 etc) to select TV Station in MyTV and use the pause, f/fwd, rewind buttons in video/music playback etc.

I am using Windows XP Home.

Let me know if you need anymore info.

Thanks

Adam

hey adamparks - I am using my Twinhan remote with MP. Basically the twinhan remote is a HID device and it acts like a keyboard. Every button on the remote sends a key to the computer and you can map this to a function under mediaportal setup.

The reason the volume up/down just moves up and down is because it actually sends a SHIFT-UP (volume up) and SHIFT-DOWN (volume down). For some reason MP doesn't recognize the SHIFT and treats it just like an up/down arrow.

Most of the other keys can be mapped - what I have done is programmed my Logitech Harmony 520 to emulate the Twinhan remote and I use the Twinhan remote IR receiver on the computer. Works reasonably well - to find out what key each remote button emulates you can open up notepad and start pressing the buttons - they will show up as keyboard characters (except of course the SHIFT and CTRL sequences the remote emulates).

Hope this helps.

Hi Plemen,

Thanks for the reply, I will give this a try when I have some free time later in the week.

Cheers
