How to install pluggins (1 Viewer)

Hey, I am totally new to this development. I was wondering if there were any instructions on how to install plugin's for the media portal. I mean something like a PDF. or a webpage where I can learn how to install plugin's. I can't seem to find my way to installing or even finding a plugin.
