I have a problem with some mp4 videofiles where the audio lags about 3 seconds behind the video. THis is with all downloaded NBA b-ball games in this format and ONLY happens with MP. No matter what audio or video codec I use.
VLC plays the files without any problems.
Other people watching these games have the same problem.

Now, in order to get some support I need to be able to post a small sample of the complete videofile with the exact same specs as the complete videofile. What software do I need to cut out a small sample out of these mp4 files?

Well, try DSmux installed by SAF. It will change container from MP4 to MKV and see if problem is fixed.
You can also use MKV merge to split MKV and create small sample.

DSmux keeps hanging at 1.1%. But that wasn't my question actually. Your suggestion changes the container.
My question was how to cut a small piece out a the mp4 file, without changing the parameters, so I can attach it to a post here on the forum and get some help to get these files properly working in MP. (again, outside MP,ie VLC player, these nba basketball game mp4 files play perfect)
