I know this seems to be a very silly question, but i really dont know how high my CPU load is while watching TV?

Everybody says with decoder x my cpu load is too high, but how do they know? Is there a special OSD in MP that shows the CPU load?

I really would like to measure my cpu load in MP, but please tell me how.

Set Mediaportal to startup in Windowed mode then right click your windows taskbar and select task manager -> switch to the performance tab
You can now watch CPU usage while showing TV in the windowed MP - giving you an idea of how much CPU load watching TV uses.

    I am not sure, but I think there is a difference when watching TV in windowed mode.
    I have a pure HTPC only connected to a TV.

    Can I watch the cpu usage with this plugin inside of MP (fullscreen)? Is this a MP-plugin?

    buy ::this::

    it can display CPU load and mem usage on the inbuild display ;)

    running MediaPortal in windowed mode to determin CPU usage is enought to see if you have a problem on your PC or not.

    or:
    after starting the taskmanager you can also switch back to fullscreen mode (ALT + ENTER) and after that back to windowed mode.
    then you will see in the graph what happened with the CPU load during the time you were in fullscreen.
    but be aware that during the switch from to fullscreen/windowed mode CPU load will be 100%

    having just downloaded the "my status" plugin from here.... it looks like it does actually use MBM5.

    support for this app ceased around 2004 i believe. is it actually much use these days ? seeing as it doesn't have in-built support for the latest boards.

    well 3 boards i have checked are not listed in the MBM config list....

    so unless there are other ways to get it working then it might not be a feasible solution any more
