It's all on one machine, so both MP and TV process are 'awake' to the best of my knowledge. I don't believe individual processes can be in standby (suspend); it's a whole computer function. They both show up in Task Manager. But the screen is completely blank, and no remote of keyboard input changes that, so I can't say for sure what either is doing. I do not have 'wake on LAN' enabled anywhere - no need for a single machine. Otherwise my setting are similar to yours: #### client #### shutdown idle = 5 (or not enabled - both ways fail with blank screen) only on home = "off" mode = suspend advanced = both off #### server #### shutdown idle = "on" 5 minutes wakeup for various events = "on" mode = suspend advanced, everything "off", all times set for 300 seconds EPG, I have this setup to run mc2xml/xmltv for EPG updates every day at 5:04 am. Network Monitor, Prevent Standby = "off", 100 KBs Another question: there is an MP config setting something like: 'directly turn on TV when ---'. Do you have this set? Does this really mean 'turn on output to TV?'. TV via hdmi is the only display I use. My TEMPORARY work around is to enable MP PS but with all options off, and set TV PS to 30 minutes. (when watching a recording, there is sure to be a commercial within 30 minutes, causing me to skip using remote, which resets the shutdown time.) This is the setup I used with 1.1.0.0, except TV PS set at 5 minutes. Worked perfectly - no shutdown during playback. I'll look into PS++ --- but, I would like to know what is wrong with this. Don't any other single machine users have this problem?
