I have successfully disabled news feeds via settings but have not been able to establish how to remove or hide the "Media Portal feed" in the Home screen footer.

How to achieve this, please?

It is a trivial and picky thing (and I still love MP2!) but I would rather have a solid coloured footer than messy text. I know which version I am using and will periodically check manually for updates - so I don't need to be told in the footer. :)

    Fab, Team MediaPortal - and thank you for being gentle and helping me learn what I need to mention. (Skins never entered my head).

    I will following your instruction and report back.

    Cheers for now,

    Thanks again for helping me.

    I opened this folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Client\Plugins\Titanium\Skin\Titanium\screens and then opened file master_homemenu.xaml but I cannot find the mentioned line to remove it or comment it out.

    Just in case (and written carefully because it is me that is the Newbie :)) note that it is not the "news" (as in current affairs) feed that I want to disable - I already did that successfully via MP2 Settings. It is specifically the "MP2 advertising things about itself" feed.

    Cheers!

    The last time I tried to remove All News with the Client side config, I could remove 3 of the 4 stock installed ones.
    Removing the 4th, saving, and going back in showed it to still be there.
    To date I have not found a way to remove it completly.
    @morpheus_xx any idea's?

    @ breese - Thanks for reminding me how I removed the "real news" feeds. What you write is in fact what I found too. Remove all 4 and all 4 come back. Remove 3 and just one remains. The one remaining is the Media Portal feed.

    @ mopheus_xx and @ ge2301 - Trying to do this at the same time as work I was being a complete dunce. Instead of clicking the link and reading instructions I simply searched the file for https://github/etc/etc thinking it was a streaming location. Of course, your instructions work perfectly when carried out properly. Thank you very much.
