How to set a subtitle even earlier/later when the slider is allready @ MAX? (1 Viewer)

Hello people,

I'm having a question for a long time now, so it's time to ask you my dear friends..

Most times, subcentral is getting the right subtitles for me when I want to play a movie (movingpictures) or while watching a tvserie..

But in some cases, there is no right subtitle on the web, and the subtitle available doesn't fit good with the file I want to play..

Offcourse there is that slider where you can point the subtitle into the right direction, but sometimes it isn't enough and the subtitle is still too early/late.

Is there a way to increase that time even more?

Hey Marcel,

had this problem some time ago too. There was a forum post which I can't find at the moment. It suggested to map the "ACTION_SUBTITLE_DELAY_MIN" and "ACTION_SUBTITLE_DELAY_PLUS" to a key or a button on your remote.

Take a look there: MP Configuration -> General -> Keys and Sounds

I think that should make it possible to increase/decrease the subtitle time beyond the capabilites of the slider.

Hi lwen,

thanks for your suggestion! I was just busy with this 'problem' a couple of minutes ago! What I found allready was that you can increase the delay interval as you can see in the image bellow.

I have set it from 250ms to 750ms. Now is each step in the right direction 750ms. So it's less accurate as the amount of steps are still the same.. However, I'm now able to watch my serie (braquo) with the only subtitles I could find!

But still thanks, I will see if I can something with your suggestion.
