I have set my windows desktop size to fill my tv screen by using the underscan overscan setting in the Radeon control centre. With this setting my desktop is say 1pixel larger all round than my screen (so I am overscanning very slightly). When I start MP the menu fills the whole screen and is central and perfectly OK. When I play video (TV or recorded video) then I have a small black border left and right (say 3/4" left and right - varies slightly depending on the channel). Some channels also have the annoying dots and dashes on the top line (teletext info???). When I go into settings, screen settings then I see a large green box with a red border all round. I can only move the green box to adjust the position, I cant see how to make the green box bigger - assuming that the green box should fill the screen - this point isn't made clear on the wiki manual. I can adjust the video screen size in the MP settings video screen sttings menu by moving the arrows which set top left, bottom right position but this doesn't seem to allow me to make video fill the screen. How is this supposed to work????? Is the green box with the red border telling me that the video will be scaled to fit the green box???? How do I adjust the size of the video??? I guess ideally I would like to make the video a couple of pixels bigger than my TV screen area to cut off the ragged edges of the video frame. Would appreciate pointers. Wiki is quiet on this issue.
