    Hey...

I have managed to get all my music @ home to be accessable from anywhere with my tytn II PDA via UMTS (HSDPA). For those who're interested, i used the squeezecenter from logitech for this.... really cool.

anyways, in my not-getting-my-throat-full mentality i want more: view live tv and recordings when i'm on the go. i tried ORB for that, but it does not really run that fine because it does not seem to support sat-tv, and neither ts-files.

i tried tversity too, but i have some probems with the right browser-player combination though i tested MANY combinatons. instead of streaming / playing the video it persists on downloading it, which is not really my intention of course!

then i thought.... ok, do it the hard way. VLC. well... i cycled through all the containers and codecs, bitrate and scaling settings.... but there was never a really satisfying result. on the tytnII i tried coreplayer, wmp, tcmc, vlcforppc ... but never a really fluid viewing exerience.

with my PDA i have a quite god hsdpa connection here, so i should have at least a minimum of 1 Mbit/s (in fact ~2.5 Mbit/s when checking with online speedtesters). the bottleneck is my HTPC connection anyways, which is around 65 KB/s which should equal 520 kbit/s (?)

at the moment i'm reading frdos guide from some time ago
( MEDIAPORTAL - free MediaCenter HTPC Software - Live TV on your cellphone/pda or web?? )

While i'm doing that... is anyone more successfull than me at this point? does anyone know some software alternatives t ORB and Tvsersity? anything i'm missing?
