How to switch from XBMC to MEDIA PORTAL (2 Viewers)

Hallo,
Till now I had XBMC media center, but I want switch to Media portal. But all my datas are stored on the HDD. Each movie has a special folder with cover, fanart and nfo file ( xbmc format ). Is possible import this into media portal without online connection ? And is also possible use groups for my movies like spiderman1-3, harry potter etc..?

To import movie details via .NFO is possible with MyVideos in MP 1.3.0 Alpha (grouping too) and was always possible with the extra plugin MovingPictures.

Yes, it was post regarding moving pictures - with this plug I have problem with iso and groups

Moving pictures can join files together, but I want for each movie special nfo and fanart.

I you use MovPic you have to choose the XBMC Scraper (local) and use importer settings like this:

For Covers and Backdrops/fanart you have to choose Local Data too and disable all other scrapers:

2. Movies like spiderman 1-3 - how to make one group ? I don't want have 3 spiderman movies in the list. I want to have in the list group spiderman and under this group 3 movies. Is it possible ?

This is possible with the moving pictures plugin. You simple need to create Categories and use the specific filters to add movies to them. Or you can use the IMDb+ plugin to rename the movies and have them grouped together in the list.

Moving Pictures shouldn't have problems with ISO files. Just make sure you set up the virtual drive in MP Config -> DVD Discs/Images -> Virtual Drive.

Holzi : Yes, this I did. This is working for me, but when I have iso file in the folder, folder isn't recognize and I have iso inserted into files in the configuration.
Second is, that groups aren't working ( not possible ) - only join movies.

What is super is grouping function under MP 1.3.0 in myVideos. But problem is that it's working mainly only with english characters.
What I want is to see in list view folder "Spiderman" together with rest of movies and after click on this folder I want see three folders spiderman 1-3 with all datas and pictures.

For that you need to use the MovingPictures plugin and setup Categories.

You have to add .iso as video extension to be recognized. I guess it is not there by default.
