MediaPortal Version: 1.1.3
MediaPortal Skin: Blue2Wide
Windows Version: XP SP3
CPU Type: Core2Duo

I just uninstantiated v1.0 to update to v1.1.3, and it has broken my TV playback.

If I play live TV, or recorded TV via "My TV" it is choppy and blocky.
If I play the same recorded TS files via "My Videos" they play fine

No changes to the codecs section in Mediaportal Configuration seem to make any difference!!??

How can I tell inside Mediaportal, what codecs are actually being used!? I remember a hotkey that overlayed some information in the past?

    Hi.
You should be able to tell by the graph in logs.

Start "MediaPortal Debug mode" - play something - exit - check and/or UL logs.

    Hi,

thanks, I just figured out I could do it with graphedit.
It's listing that, CoreAVC and MONOGRAM AAC are being used in both cases, the only difference is one is listed as [program name].ts and the other is rtsp://htpc:554/A3F9B6CB
So it kind of looks like a slow network connection, but it's all on the local machine?? This was all working on v1 MP?

OK, so I did an "IT Crowd" and turned it off and on again, no help.
I tried to unplug the network cable, and with it unplugged TV would not work at all (like it couldn't connect to the TV service)?? Is this normal behavior?
Anyway after plugging the network back in, it now seems to be working OK? Very strange to me.

alternatively u can use graphstudio to connect to MP's graph.

    1) start MP in windowed mode.
    2) start playback, pause.
    3) use graphstudio to connect to graph.

MP always on-top should be disabled.

Are you using ip address or localhost for streaming, localhost should work for you if this is a singleseat setup.

I had put in 127.0.0.1, just changed it to localhost. Still getting choppy playback of live and recorded TV, (playing via RTSP), just like if I were to stream video over a bad network connection, looks like dropped packets, weird?

Hmm, IP is 192.168.0.40, run tv server configuration and it shows streaming ip 192.168.0.40, mediaportal set to connect to localhost, TV works but is choppy. Unplug the network cable, and mediaportal can't connect to the tv service. close mediaportal, Run the tvserver configuration and the streaming IP has changed from 192.168.0.40 to 127.0.0.1, restart mediaportal and TV streaming works fine. I'm getting confused (it is midnight though haha)
