I am using myAlarm to wake me up in the morning with my favourite cable radio station. This works perfectly.

Now, I would like to turn off radio after 1 hour automatically. How can I do this?

Thx in advance for your answer

Try the latest SVNs - I have just committed a patch with this feature in it. You can set the delay in MP Configuration -> Plugins -> MyAlarm Configuration. IT can be from 5 minutes to 300 minutes. Bear in mind that it only works for radio alarms.

    Hi Sam

Thanks a lot for you quick reaction - incredible!

However, I don't know how your feature is supposed to work.

In the configuration -> Plugins -> my Alarm section, I have set the timeout setting to 5 minutes.

As soon as the radio starts, a popup screen appears asking me how long it should play the radio (the popup offers 6 different options).

    - When I press e.g. 5 minutes, after 5 minutes playing, the radio stops for a part of a second and plays on.

    - When I don't press anything and leave the pop popped up the radio doesn't stop either.

    Here's how it works:

Set the timeout setting in MP Configuration.

    Set your alarms.

When they trigger, you will get a dialog and your selected trigger option will start playing (e.g. Internet Radio). On that dialog you have 6 options, the first five allowing you to snooze the alarm, and the last one allowing you to dismiss the dialog. The snooze options are NOT related to the alarm timeout. Snooze simply means you can delay the alarm for x minutes, e.g. the alarm went off at 9:30am, you snooze it for 5 minutes, it will stop and retrigger at 9:35 am.

The alarm timeout should function as soon as the alarm is triggered. After the timeout period, if the dialog is still open, the dialog will be dismissed and if anything was playing it will be stopped. Note that if you've dismissed the dialog, then the alarm timeout will not work (it assumes that you have acknowledged the alarm already).

Note that I've made another patch to fix up some problems with this, which should be in the releases soon. However, with the version you've got, the alarm timeout should function - try scheduling an alarm, letting it go off, and do not dismiss the dialog; it should automatically dismiss after your timeout period and stop playing what it's playing.

Note that the timeout only works for radio alarms in your version (it also works for music playlists in the new version).
