Hi There,

i´ve got a problem regarding my S10V in conjunction with a Gigabyte H55n and iCore3 530 + Windows 7 x64.
Everytime i try to shutdown the pc it won´t shutdown completely... Screen gets black but everything including the Powerbutton is still lit up and running.
The only thing i can do is to press the the powerbutton for a few seconds to turn it off hard.

I guess it has something to do with either the Display itself or the Cardreader solution. Maybe something there is wrong or can´t be set into a "powerdown mode" by windows. I already tried to connect the display directly to a USB Port not via the Cardreader solution but this doesn´t help....

Is there something known regarding this?

Maybe you in here can help me finding a solution?

Best Regards

Felix

Hi RoninFR, just a few ideas:
    - is this also happening when MP is not active?
    - what about power modes in your bios (s1/s3)
    - check you power management settings of your hardware for the connected devices/ports in device manager, they have specific settings.
    - a driver issue? -> do you have the latest drivers for those devices
    - what about windows power options, have you checked the advanced settings?

    Hi Peter,

it doesn´t matter if Mediaportal is running or not :(
I also checked the Power Options and could not find anything...
I will try to disconnect the VFD at all and check if its gone then... but i´m not quite sure if it will be solved by that.

What exactly do you mean regarding the Poweroptions in Bios (S1/S3) ... Mainboard is the following:

    GA-H55N-USB3 (rev. 1.0)

Any difference when you disconnect the VFD and did you have this problem prior to installing MP?
Have you checked you event logs?

The BIOS of your motherboard probably has some settings regarding power management.
