SamAus.

The 3 pin connector should connect via the 24 pin motherboard socket.

You need to use the extension piece supplied with the case as this has the connector for the LCD screen built in.

Hopefully the pics will explain.

Notice the red, black & purple cable.

PROBLEM SOLVED !!! All ok ....

Yes there is a 3 pin male that goes direct from the LCD to the main power cable 3 pin female extension.

I have re-wired the LCD to auto power on via remote .... I will provide photos and more details later of my build..

But the LCD is working fine and thank god i did not fry it... :)

Thanks.

AusSam...

Yes it should respond to MCE remotes only (or in my case a Logitech 525 acting as a MCE). Starting by remote is also possible depending on how you hooked up the IR device in the case. Shutdown will always work.

Does this mean that if I follow this guide IR Server Suite to resolve Remote Control Problems - My Home Theater PC Project and set up EXCALY the same configuration the MCE remote will work with my Antec fusion 430 silver case ( LCD) ? I followed this guide yesterday but my MCE remote did not work in MP , I also tried to remap the Keys using Imon software latest beta from Soundgraph this did not work as well. ANy ideas?

IR Server suite causing weird sounds

Has anyone else experienced an issue with RC3 and IR Server Suite in conjunction with the Antec Fusion V2 case causing weird sounds when navigating sometimes? Like a "sproing" kind of sound?

I noticed this happens periodically since I did a fresh install of RC3. Usually when it happens it's also accompanied by the navigation screwing up, e.g. the cursor will move several selections with only one key press.

If I restart the input service it seems to fix the problem for a time. It seems to happen the most often after coming out of suspend/resume.

Thought I'd post here first since lots of people with this combo of hardware have been keeping the thread active.

Have you turned off the setting in Soundgraph Imon, something about a sound when a recognized IR signal is received? Sorry don't remember exactly the setting name but it's in the Imon manager screen.

Interesting.

I don't think I've ever changed that option before as I don't remember seeing it until you mentioned it just now but it does seem to fix it. Though the problem with the cursor skipping selections still happens. But at least I know they aren't related now.

Thanks!

The best thing to do is only to install the IMON software and not load it on startup because with IR Server Suite + Cybrdisplay Plugin you won't be using the software anyway. The only thing you need is some DLL in there that is used by these plugins/services. I've updated my first post to reflect some more recent changes to my system. I added an issue section to the post but currently RC3 + latest svn is running fine for me :)

    Hey OP;
    Why the move to x64?

I like a challenge.. :) Actually the ride on x64 is going pretty well.. although most of the software (including mediaportal) and codecs i'm using are 32-bit. No problems with drivers, system is stable and seems faster than on 32-bit (but this might just be in my head). The only issues i have are the known mediaportal bugs (i had on 32-bit also) but the hardware is performing as advertised on 64-bit :p Still need HT 3.0 CPU to squeeze the last bit out of the 780G chipset (probably somewhere before/around xmas)

In short.. I was curious and so far so good :)

Anyone here still have a copy of RC2?

I'm seriously considering reverting back to see if it's clears up any of the problems I'm having with RC3.

I completely rebuilt my box with RC3 and have had nothing but problems with MP coming out of sleep as well as my XFace skin having screen refresh hiccups.

I want to eliminate RC3 as being the culprit.
