Hi All,

First let me say that MP is an amazing program! I just finished building my htpc last friday, and I have been playing around with MP since. I was able to get many things working - but there are still many open questions. I was hoping that you might help me out.

1) I have the Zalman HD 160 case, and I am unable to get MP to control the VFD. I know that some people report success when using a certain plugin. It seems that those who were able to get it working, were using the SVN version of MP. Is the only way to get the VFD working is to switch versions?

2) If I am switching to SVN, should I go with 2.0.0, and than to the daily SVN or stable updates? What is the difference between the 2.1 and the 2.0 with SVN updates? Am I lossing any features that are availble with 2.1? will I be able to manually install those feature later on?

3) I also have problems with the Zalaman remote which came with the case. It appears to be MCE remote, and when I enable MCE on the setup screen, it controls MP, however, only certain keys work (direction/ok/some other buttons) The Play/Stop/FF/Skip keys do not work. Any onc can think why that might be the case? P.S the IR Trans software (on the tray) seem to recognize all keys when pressed. Also, when I am switching to the hauppauge remote that came with the PVR-150, everything work with the hauppauge remote, however, it looks like sometime it is doing double clicks rather than single click. All together, the zalman remote seems to work better (when using the keys that do work)

4) The volume knob on the case does nothing in MP. Again I can see that the IR Trans software reads the changes when turning the knob, however, it has 0 impact in MP.

5) When installing the PMIII Skin, it looks great and all, but when I go to My Music, I can not see the list of songs - all I see is an empty screen. When I switch back to the blue skin, the list of songs apears on the screen. Any suggestions?

6) I am unable to get visuallization working when playing music, what am I doing wrong?

7) I enabled audio scrubbing, and it interface perfectly with last.fm. However, I cannot find the Last.FM streaming working (so that I could listen to internet radio). Again is this an SVN vs 2.1 thing?

8) I want to install win-dvd 8 platinum on my computer to take advantage of PUREVISION capabilities of my card. Will it be easy to integrate it with MP? Will this provide the best video quality when playing dvds?

9) When playing music of my HD, i notcied that certain songs have album art associated with them, other however, don't. Yet, when I am playing a song, and going to the "Now Playing" - MP downloads art from the web. Anyway to make that art "stick" so that it would apear as an icon next to the song in the future? - If not, is there a way to download art for all my songs using some other utility?

10) Finally, it still apears as if the interface for "My Music" is not very UI friendly. While it is working, sometime it is hard to find a particular song. Not that I am complaining about it, however, I would like to know if there are some plugins that can actaully control the interface. - This questions is more to understand the capabilities of the "open-source" project.

Thanks everyone for taking the time and effort to make MP such an amazing product.

Wow lot of questions.

1) No idea, but I might try here:
https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=1709

2) No, should not be any loss of features.

3) You could try the MCE Remote Replacement driver
https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=11068
Hauppauge remote settings in the configuration can help with double-clicks.

4) No idea.

5) Latest PMIII is for recent SVN only supporting animations etc.
Download says "(Please use latest svn ! )"

6) Search the forums.

7) Search the forums.

8) Quality is subjective and seems to change with systems and codecs

9) Windows Media Player will download album art

10) Don't really understand
(Music plugin has been under heavy development in recent SVNs)

HTH,
patrick

p.s. Next time you could probably search the forums and find answers faster... :)
