Re: Let me know what happens! Hey! I've spent some hours with MP and I think it's possible to make it work good with HVR-1300, but I did run into a couple of issues for ex when I wanted to scan for the analoge channels. Solved it later, it was b/c the listed card was for Digital only, later another card appeard in the list, which was for analoge. Since it's hybrid, I expected the card to be listed as one.. But since digital is common, setup should be easier, than for me. I enabled Microsoft MCE remote and was able to control MP, just tried to scroll in the list, since I haven't looked into how that remote is mapped. When I enable the Hauppauge remote, MP crashes at start-up, but if I focus the main window, I am able to scroll in the main window, but when I press "OK"-button, for Enter, the program stops (since the main .exe crashed). I don't know what info MP reads when it crashes, maybe something in irremote.ini.. Maybe it's easy to fix this. I really like MP, so I hope this is fixed! I've had the card for a couple of months now and there's only one problem - When I want to record from an analoge source, the card won't record the bitrate I select. Ie if I select the profile HalfDV (1800-2000kbits) the output file is around 5000 or above. No matter if I use ChrisTV or WinTV2000. A guy at Hauppauge support in UK confirmed this and hoped they will fix it in a future update. I don't know anything about digital tv, but the card should record at same bitrate as the channel is sending to the card.
