Hi dinotooth2

The HVR4000 is advertised in the UK as a Quad Mode TV Receiver. This is not the same as having 4 tuners. I think it has a DVB-S2 tuner (which also works with DVB-S) and a DVB-T/Analogue Tuner. I think the driver make these show as 3 tuners (DVB-S/S2, DVB-T and analogue).

The drivers (and possibly the hardware) only allow one of these 2 physical tuners at once. I think people have tried to use the DVB-S2/S and DVB-T tuner at the same time but as far as I know this has not been successful.

To stop this being a problem in MediaPortal (such as allowing scheduling of 2 programmes when only one tuner is available) you need to define the card as a Hybrid card (instructions in the Wiki). This tells MediaPortal that only one tuner is avaliable on the card at a time and stops it trying (and failing to use the others)
