Hi - I just picked up the Hauppauge WinTV-1800 card to try it out. I am putting this with WinXP SP3. There didn't seem to be a software that works with WinXP, so I tried MediaPortal. I'm aware there is both analog and DTV signal on the air (I don't have cable), and there are two connectors on the card - one for cable TV and another for ATSC signal. I am using a normal antenna on the rooftop, so I first hooked the coax up to the cable TV one, and that one picks up analog signals. I had to get the channels by scanning it in the TV Server configuration. If I hook it up to the ATSC connector, then I can't scan for any signals, and I can't watch anything. Am I missing something? In my house, I use a downconvertor to watch DTV signals on an older TV.
