Hello,

I am watching (HD)TV in MediaPortal via my TV-card (Terratec C PCI HD DVB-Tuner).

Everytime when I quit MediaPortal I have to restart my TV-service (services.msc -> TVService -> Restart) when get back in MediaPortal for watching TV. Otherwhise it says unable to create graph / unable to timeshift.

Is this normal?

If so, is there a possibility to let the TV-Service automaticly restart by starting MediaPortal? Can't find anything in the Config of Settings.

Thanks.

    Hi.
    In short: Not normal :)

    Singleseat or multiseat?
Anyhow, I think (a lot) more info would help.
Lets start with systemspecs (hw + sw) and logs (see signature for "how to").

    Thanks.

    It's a Singleseat installation with TV-Server.

In the past I installed the same on 3 different PC's, 2 with XP and 1 with Vista. On all the systems I had this problem. I also posted this on a Dutch forum, it happens that I am NOT the only one who got this prob.

Here's my system at this moment:
    M4A785TD-V EVO Mainboard
ATI Sapphire Radeon HD 4550 512MB videocard
TERRATEC Cinergy C PCI HD tv-card for tv-tuning
SMARGO Cardreader Plus (in which my provider smartcard receive scrambled channels)

Here is a pic of the system (works great ;)):

    Which log-file is interesting?
    I have these TV-server logs:
    epg.log
    error.log
    install_1.0.2.0_2010-01-03_1-41-29.log
    MDAPIFilter.log
    streaming server.log
    TsWriter.log
    tv.log

Not sure what's going on and it shouldn't be happening, but you could write a little .bat script to restart the TVservice service then start mediaportal which you can run, instead of starting mediaportal directly.

    Something like:

    net stop TVService
    net start TVService
    C:\Program Files\Team Mediaportal\mediaportal

    Cheers,
    Andrew
