Unintentionally deleted a show (using MP GUI). After that I didn't touch the computer. Any chance I could still find it with some "undelete" tool? Recommend, please!
This show was waiting since October last year for me, lazy bastard, to burn it on a DVD. And it was not for me. I promissed to give it to someone.

I make absolutely no guarantees that it will help. But some of the best undelete tools are available on a bootdisk called Hiren Boot Disk. It does contain some commercial tools, so I cannot provide a download link for you. But I am sure you will find using your best friend Google.

I was never before able to recover any of my deleted files using any of those tools. Probably I don't know how to.
Just downloaded and installed this "PC Inspector File Recovery" (not on MP computer). So, for a test I found one 35 MB exe file and deleted it (deleted a copy of it). This tool gave thousands of "something" in a tree view (I never knew I had those files). Very few actually have some normal name. Anyway I couldn't find the file I have just deleted. Neither by name nor by size (if it didn't keep its name after deletion). So I'm scared to use it "live" (on MP computer). And I need to schedule some recordings tonight. If I do so, I'm afraid the deleted one will be messed up.

RTV, S.O.S !

Now it's gone for good. I found it with PC Inspector, but it was zero size. And no other file matched by date or approximate size or extension or any part of the file name. Nevermind...
:D
