id3 tag album art from some titles not recognized

None of the folders contain a folder.jpg, or thu mbs.db (they are 'clean').</p><p></p><p>The issue is clearly NOT in the reading the ID3 tag (since I've already mentioned that the image can be found in some views).</p><p>The issue does not appear to be skin related (since it occurs in all skins I have, inc Blue3, Xface 1.6, Monochrome 2.2)</p><p>The issue does not appear to be related to the number of albums by an artist</p><p>The issue does not appear to be related to the embedded album art size (image dimensions, or file size)</p><p>The issue is not random, as it occurs with the same files repeatedly</p><p></p><p>I'm unsure if this helps - but, the first 18 artists of my collection all work perfectly.... then from the next few hundred, only two worked.
