I am using a somewhat special setup. I have a 1280x720 projector that I use together with an anamorphic lens.
To have correct aspect ratio, I have to set the adjustment thingie in MediaPortal to 1.25. Together with the 1.78 ratio of my projector, this gives me a 2.22 aspect ratio overall.
Since most movies are a little wider than this, at say 2.35, I get black bars at the top and the bottom of my screen, as you can see in the picture in the attachment. Now I want to zoom in a little bit, so that these bars disappear.
The easiest solution for me would be if I could adjust the existing aspect ratios that are in Media Portal. If I could make the 'Zoom' setting zoom in a little more, my problem would be solved. But this cannot be done, as far as I know.
So I tried solving my issue with IFC, but don't understand how it works. With everything set at default, nothing happens.
Can someone explain to me, in a few steps, what settings I should use to get my desired result?
