i dont know if it is the mediaportal software or the vfd plugin that controls the information sent to the vfd, but i'm using the imon vfd and if i use it through plugin mode it works great but it doesnt display a volume osd when i change it and i would like to have the graphic equalizer working with MP. both work when not using the imon plugin mode but then i dont get the media portal info. i asked soundgraph if they will ever be adding native support for mediaportal and they said no. so if it possible could someone add these to the next MP rc.

JoeDalton the creator of the ExternalDisplay plugin said that he won't include specific code for a single VFD. BUT, the IMon API let you quite easily display a bargraph sending an array of values indicating the height of the bars you want to display. I've got an IMon VFD, the problem is that it doesn't want to work anymore 
I have to grab it out of the case and check what's wrong and see if I can do anything to repare it. Once this done I can eventually think of adding the equalizer feature of the IMon VFD as a plugin or submit a patch to JoeDalton. But at the moment I'm stuck.

I'd love to see the iMon VFD do more within MP. I like to see the MP information and I like to see a graphic equalizer. I can see one or the other if I enable or disable the plugin but I'm a spoilt brat who wants both :x :wink:

When there is nothing on the VFD (but the USB is powered) can you see some red lines crossing it horizontally ?
