iMON VFD/LCD MiniDisplay driver for MediaPortal 1.1.3/1.2.1 (1 Viewer)

This driver is for newer iMon software with display API.
AFAIK the API only supports 1 line for the LCD type.
With iMon software up to V. 7.77 with original Mini Display the LCD can display 2 lines.
The display types are shown on soundgraph homepage:

At least I think it's an LCD. Now I'm not sure anymore. How can I know for sure it it's an LCD or vfd?

You can see it in the IMon programs settings. It will show you the version and what kind of display you got.

Running an iMon LCD with an antec fusion, updating to 1.4 sadly killed my LCD's functionality also. The LCD would just turn off when minidisplay tried to use it it seems, and it changed the iMon frontview settings from automatic startup to never for some reason.

For now I've just gone back to using the old minidisplay .dll included in the binaries.zip on page 1 of this thread, bit of a messy solution I suppose but it seems to work so far. Allows me to select 'iMON LCD for iMON Manager >= 8.01.0419' as the driver again and lets it work.

EDIT: Spoke too soon, when using the old .dll it'll hang when launching mediaportal the first time, and will only start if you kill the process and restart it. Not exactly a tenable solution. Guess I'll just have to give up on the LCD till someone comes up with a working solution for 1.4

if i remember, i have "Mixed plateform" for compil and will to switch to AnyCPU or X86.

Also on IRC Weltmeyer (he hangs out in (#MP-Extended or jwe in forums), he is having an issue with his as well. Kind of interesting. We could use some help on that. At least he speaks your language natively =)

I've just updated MediaPortal to 1.4 , and the files in post 319 by Azzuro - "Release.rar" are working perfectly with my display ( Silverstone LC16 with iMon VFD display )
