I'm using the VFD on my HTPC so VFD development will take priority. However I have an LCD laying around too and in theory I could get a test setup but it's going to take a while to put this in place.
Once I'm more familiar with the code I could also try and do a blind fix for you to test.

About test setup:
When I just plug an iMON display, be it VFD or LCD, to an external USB port it won't power up.
I'm guessing it needs the ATX power input.
Has anyone ever tried to use a spare ATX PSU to power up an iMON display which is connected to your development machine's USB?
Does it catch fire?

I try to set up my imon display using Minidisplay plugin. The problem is the message sent by the "Menubutton" control. This message is reachable by #selectedlabel<id> (with <id>=2 for "Layout View" and <id>=5 for "View as"). Is there a simple way to retrieve this message by #highlightedbutton ?

Yup I'm not sure what you are saying? Then again it might just be that I don't have enough knowledge of the MiniDisplay/Skin implementation...
Though you may want to tell people which skin you are using and which display hardware you have (LCD or VFD?)[DOUBLEPOST=1389044072][/DOUBLEPOST]So I could setup my development environment and it's not catching fire
Don't get too excited though cause implementing anything could still take me months.

This could be an easy fix. Can you tell me if the TV icon is on when you do not watch TV but a recording is in progress?

hi stephane lenclud, would you be able to explain how to use your minidisplay.dll? i have tried using the release.tar a few pages back. i can get that one to show the imon vfd -> 8.. bit in the plugins area, but i cannot get it to let me click "ok" its greyed out?
what how do you use your dll? thanks
