    Hi all,

one function that is always missed in MediaPortal TVServer is the automatic tuning daily, as do many televisions.

One of the problems, if this feature was implemented, it is the presence, after a cycle of turne, of many tv channels without LCN numbering.

Many times are local TV stations, which appear and disappear in a few days.

There are many sites that keep track of these changes, for example in Italy there is this.

Well, now the hard part; I would like to write a plugin for the tvserver it to do:

    1) a scan of TV channels at a specified time (or checking the status of tvserver).

Does anyone know the functions to call this "unattended" channel tune?

    2) control of a extenal database that contains all the associations tv channel <-> url, like this.

    3) number search lcn for each of the issuers mentioned in point 1)

    4) database update of MediaPortal TV channels.

    What do you think ?
