Hello,

I am using mediaportal for a long time nog, but i have a problem now.
After a reinstall of mediaportal i cant import my tvguid.xml file anymore.

I use WEBepg to grab the channels, when i try to import it i get an error message, import tv guide failed "invalid xml file" and then something about the location (cant read that clearly because i only get a half message on screen)

I have the same problem with RC2 and the error remains with RC3 both on windows XP(32) and Vista(64)
any help would be apriciated.

I included the file, maybe someone could look at it.

same for me. "tvguide.xml: invalid xml: place..."

I use tvserver 0.3 with MP 0.2.3.0. I tried xmltv plugin. WebEPG Grabber creates the tvguide.xml correctly (it cant import the channel list from TV Server, I have to do everything manually). Xmltv plugin of TV-Server loads it, I can check/correct the mapping there, save it but at force import it is finding the channels but does not import any programs, says xml is invalid.

EPG is a real pain in the ass with MP! I can´t get it work for days now! Spent hour trying everything. DVB EPG does not work at all also. F....k, I am upset. I don´t try to describe what i all tried, it would take 2 pages. Just say there is a lot to do here for the developers

is the DTD file in the same folder as TVGuide.xml, especially with Vista's use of Program Data\Team mediaportal\mediaportal\xmltv.

WebEPG Grabber creates the tvguide.xml correctly (it cant import the channel list from TV Server

It does now, which MP\TVE3 version are you using, must be the same day release.

    Thanx for the quick reply.

I use MP 0.2.3.0 Rev16549 / TVServer Rev16549 from the same day (11.19.2007). I tried several xmltvimport.dll plugins (the original one of the revision, the last one from latest revision and the xmltvimport2.dll plugin from the post of Laban:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/xmltv_2_source_binary_now_available-t25247.html

the dtd file is there (I use XP, tvguide.xml and dtd files are in c:/programme/team mediaportal/mediaportal/xmltv afai remember), I tried the origial one of the release and the latest one from sourceforge.net. No success.

As I mentioned the webEPG grabber creates my tvguide.xml (it takes ca. 10 Min with 19 channels, opening it with editor I can read the EPG informations). The xmltvimport.dll plugin of the TV-Server finds the file, and tries to import it (takes ca. 1 minute). It says: chanels found: 19, programs imported:0, invalid xml file. If I check the mapping tab, the canels are correctly mapped (white or green), I can load the mappings, save it etc. Force import after saving mappings gives the same failure.

I will try in some days again, maybe it is only a 2007/2008 Bug :) or it is a problem with special characters in xml (like ä, ü, ö, ß)

    Hi

I found I needed to go to the "Mappings" tab in the XmlTV plugin, hit the Load/Refresh button and then after the channels were mapped the "Save" button.

For some reason on my HTPC it only imported prgrammes for half the channels to begin with (which I guess was better than none) and further attempts seemed to then get the rest.

I think I only realised I needed to do this after reading the following thread:

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/xmltv_2_source_binary_now_available-t25247p13.html

I should add this is using Laban's XmlTV plugin that is now integrated into the TV Server SVNs in place of the original XmlTV plugin.
