I have a "tiny" problem with my internal video player. It doesn't play anything whatsoever. I have the movie database configured, and I can select movies at my own will, but nothing happens when I select a file.
It would seem that the problem is the fact that I haven't selected a codec for the internal player, which I haven't. Because there is no way to do it. I've installed both VLC and ffdshow, and while testing MediaPortal on my other computer ffdshow (in correlation with VLC, as ffdshow in itself wasn't installed on that computer) showed up in the list for video codecs.
The computer is a freshly built HTPC, the XP install is clean. Why won't it work?
MediaPortal Version: 0.2.3
MediaPortal Skin: Monochrome
Windows Version: XP Professional XP2
CPU Type: AMD Athlon64 X2 4200+
Motherboard: Gigabyte MA69VM-S2
Video Card: Onboard
Remote: Microsoft Media Center Remote
TV - HTPC Connection: VGA
