Improve the navigation in MP menus

Look at a common remote
the common buttons are
Play/Pause (or a Play button and a Pause button)
Stop
Fast forwards
Fast rewind
Next chapter
Previous chapter
Record
Left arrow
Right arrow
Bottom arrow
Up arrow
Enter
Back

And that's all. A remote has not left click button, right click button, double click funtions. Some remote has colored buttons, a green special button, some shortcuts to change the input mode or DVD languages... But all this are specialities.

Now look at the minimum required orders of MP. We can divide these orders in two groups: menu navigation, media navigation.

Play
Pause
Stop
Fast forwards
Fast rewind
Next chapter
Previous chapter
Record
Left
Right
Bottom
Up
Enter
Options
Back

Now a map with comments in red:
Play/Pause (or a Play button and a Pause button) --> Play (media) & Pause (media) --> OK
Stop --> Stop (media) --> OK
Fast forward --> Fast forward (media) --> OK
Fast rewind --> Fast rewind (media) --> OK
Next chapter --> Next chapter (media) --> OK but doesn't work in a video clip
Previous chapter --> Previous chapter (media) --> OK but doesn't work in a video clip
Record --> Record (media) --> (no comment, never tested)
Left arrow --> Left (menu) --> OK but left arrow is also used to jump forward in a video. Not logic for a menu button
Right arrow --> Right (menu) --> OK right left arrow is also used to jump forward in a video. Not logic for a menu button
Bottom arrow --> Down (menu) --> OK but left arrow is also used to jump forward in a video. Not logic for a menu button
Up arrow --> Up (menu) --> OK right left arrow is also used to jump forward in a video. Not logic for a menu button
Enter --> Enter (menu) --> OK
??? --> Options (menu/media) --> Imposssible to use with a common remote. It should be change.
Back --> Back (menu) --> OK

I have no problem with the little confusion with the arrow keys and video jumps. I find that strange but not blocking. But it's impossible to correclty navigate the manu with a classic common remote because it's impossible to access to the option fucntion that is required is some parts of the menu. It's a design issue. I think it should be fixed.
