I have recently started to use the database part of MCE MyMovies and realised that this is a really nice database with nice covers and so on.

What is even more nice is that MyFilms is supporting the exported XML from MyMovies.

Zebons, are we going to see better support for MyMovies XML file or are you target for MyFilms mainly ANT database?

I am mainly missing the play videos in folders since this is the way MyMovies is working.
What I mean here is support for ISO, IMG, AVI etc and not only the ifo files.

It would also be nice if you could display the coverart backside that are present in MyMovies.

I don't understand your needings... MyFilms already support ISO, IMG and AVI files !
Can you describe more precisely what you want with that plugin ?

Well.. What I mean is that MyMovies is storing movies as folders only. Not pointing to a specific file.
For example the movie Jumper will get the following in the xml file
\\Server\Movies\Jumper\ and not \\Server\Movies\Jumper\Jumper.iso
This is due to the logic of MyMovies and this will not be changed.

This means (I guess) that MyFilms as is it is now does not know which file to start. I know that I can actually point to a specific file in MyMovies but that is something I have to do manually to all my movies. I did this but as soon as I do a complete manual import of my movie folder the database gets updated with the folders again instead of filename.

So basically I want MyFilms to be able to start the movie files (no matter which format that it is) in the folder specified in the xml file from MyMovies. AVI files should be played directly, ISO files should be mounted by daemon tools etc.

Do you think this is a possibe to see in future versions?

mymovies (My Movies - Home) auto mount iso files which I find very useful! Is it possible op do with mediaportal?

The plugin/program have a huge database which among other things, have high resolution images that is much better than any database I know on the net. Also, mymovies support not only titles and special editions but even barcodes so the right subtitles are shown/bonus material etc for a perfect match.

And what to do if there are several files in the folder ?

And what to do if there are several files in the folder ?

They are played in alphabetical order. The reason MyMovies are using folders are because then movies that are split up into pieces are showing as one movie and also played as one movie. For example avi movies are sometimes (or quite often I guess) split into 700mb files.

Same functionality in MP but filenames must be xxxxxx-cd1.avi xxxxx-cd2.avi or xxxxxx-disk1.avi.....

I'll take a look if it's possible to add that in future release.

It would be VERY nice if you did this. The reason is because MyMovies is working like this and they don't intend to change it's behaviour due to MP. And I actually really liked their database. To use automatic import and removal of movies this an essential feature.
