I am suffering from this problem:

http://mantis.team-mediaportal.com/view.php?id=626

Has anyone got a potential solution or will I have to give up on Media Portal before I have had the chance to try it?

Thanks.

I'm in the exact same boat as this.. I'll persist with it, but hoping someone has some ideas around it.

I've got a few codecs installed, which I can list if needed. I've tried it with selecting the Leadtec codec, as well as the PowerDVD7.

Here are my details:

The workaround is to skip that section of the Wizard, complete the remaining Wizard steps and then launch MediaPortal Setup. You can then complete the channel scan from within MediaPortal Setup ... :)
