I've just completed upgrading my TV server to a new box, and in the process upgraded it and the clients to MP 1.4 from MP 1.2.3
When going into the TV server config it detected all the already recorded shows I had copied across to the new machine and allowed me to import them with a single click. Fantastic!
What I did find interesting though was that all the imported recordings have got Comskip markers in the progress bar, despite the fact I never had Comskip running on my old server (There was a problem with it when I tried, I gave up but can't remember what he issue was as i was a long time ago). Is this feature built into MP 1.4 now as I couldn't find any options other than the standard Comskip launcher plugin? If it's not built in how did my imported shows get the markers if I've never used it?
I'd like to start using it and don't want to go through the hassle of setting it up via a plugin if it's built in now.

    Hi acecombat,

If i'm correct, the ComSkip Markers were added in MP v1.3. That means that you'll see the commercial blocks.
You still need to setup the ComSkip plugin to analyse your recordings, but after that all should be good :)

The wierd thing is that I've never setup ComSkip. After importing them to my new TV server the markers are there, but it's not appearing on the recordings made on the new TV server, hence I thought that maybe because it was imported it scanned them with an inbuilt ComSkip.
Anyway, long question short: Is ComSkip built in or should I set up the launcher?

Displaying existing chapter makers (eg. comskip markers) are built in to MP. I assume your old recordings had been run through comskip. To run future recordings through comskip use comskip launher plugin to run comskip AFTER each recording finishes.
