[QUOTE="dir, post: 194566, member: 24485"] I don't seem to be able to get the banners for my series. I tried the latest versions as suggested and it helped - it finds all my episodes now, not just one from each series. However, no banners showed up. So I deleted the library completely using the "Empty" link, and deleted the C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\MPTVSeriesBanners directory, and re-ran the importer. Because this takes about 3 days to through all 6223 episodes, 103 shows, and 600+ seasons, I moved all my TV shows out of the normal location and left only "24". I ran the importer and it found 24 and all the bits - banner, season covers, and even episode pictures. I then moved back a dozen more series and re-ran the importer (after exiting and going back into it). The first few series worked fine - all graphics are there - but then "Battlestar Galactica (2003)" and all series after that have no banners. Re-running the importer makes no difference. I don't know what's special about Battlestar Galactica (2003), but it's possible that this is the first series that the importer gets to where it throws up a dialog box to ask which series to choose from. I know that currently there's a bug with this dialog box, because if I tell it to not ask me again, or to skip the series this one time, the importer seems to crash - the splash screen suddenly appears for a moment and it appears to be re-starting. I've tried re-running the importer again with all my series, and after 2 more days it's finished again - but it didn't help. For some reason it won't (re-) download/import any banners for the ones that are missing. The \Thumbs\MPTVSeriesBanners directory is really strange as well. It contains 24 <--- with all banners, seasons, and episode images in it. 30 Rock <--- everything A Bit of Fry and Laurie <--- everything .... same for the next 6, then Battlestar Galactica (2003) <--- has everything in it (??) Bionic Woman <--- has only an Episodes subdirectory in it with 2 images. Nothing more. Black Books <--- same Brothers & Sisters <-- same Here's what's strange: In the importer, Battlestar Galactica (2003) doesn't have any banners and nothing shows up in the drop-down banner selection box. "Becker" is the next series, follwed by Bewitched Bionic Woman Black Books. So "Becker" and "Bewitched" don't have any corresponding Thumbs directory at all. No idea why. The log window doesn't appear to show anything odd. I can't post the log file because it resets itself whenever you enter the configuration screen, losing everything from the previous session. One question I have is how come I can't just copy the database file(s) and thumbnails directories from my server box (where everything is working fine and all banners show up) to my home theatre PC? The directory paths are all URLs or are all identical on both boxes. I've tried this and everything works except that no banners show up (yes, I have triple-checked that I've copied over the C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\MPTVSeriesBanners directory as well). Is this importer hiding unique things in the system registry, or something? Oh - also as a new user I find it confusing that there's no "OK" or "Accept" or "Close" button on the importer pop-up. When I run the importer and it takes several days to complete, I get very VERY nervous about just closing the window using the "X" button as normally this would lose all the changes made. I know that in a way having a button isn't necessary from a technical perspective, but it's so against standard Windows behaviour it's just another thing that makes the experience unnerving to users - well, me at least, and I've been around since before PCs, so I'd hate to think what the average user goes through when they can't find an "OK" button to click!
