Incorrect BASS.DLL (version 2.4 required) (1 Viewer)

I am running MP 1.0 with no problems on vista32 business.
I installed MPTagThat and get this error 'Incorrect BASS.DLL (version 2.4 required)' when starting it.
I see bass.dll version 2.4 in the installed package but assume it is not being registered.
Just thought I would share my experience hope it helps improve this useful app.

En after this, .NET Framework gives the message "cannot load basscd.dll"

there'S no need t´for registering bass.
i'm using the files from bin\bass and they should all be 2.4

can you check the file properties of bss.dll in the above folder?

I asume you mean bass.dll instead of bss.dll? bass.dll has version 2.4.0.0 (all other files in the \bin\bass-dir have also 2.4.0.0)

yeah, everything is alright then. don't understand, why this is causing troubles.

Do you have maybe MP 1.0 in your path?
i may then get BASS 2.3 by mistake.

MP1.0 is not present on this computer...

There was another problem... there was an old bass.dll (version 3.2) in the windows\system32-directory, I overwrote thisone with the one in the bin\bass-directory => after that the problem was solved

I also had an old version of bass.dll in the system32 dir. Deleted and now running ok.
No path to MP in my path variable.

I had the same problem and deleting the bass.dll file from system32 also fixed it for me. Thanks guys!
