I initially thought that something about the recordings themselves may have changed, but whilst not all recordings are effected, some older, previously functional recordings are. I upgraded from 1.2.0 to 1.2.3 in this may replace any at fault files, but the problem remains. The problem is manifested through all points i.e. tv, moving pictures, videos,  my tv series.
