Indexing online films and TV programmes from the Internet (1 Viewer)

I will not be using MediaPortal for TV shows but would like to create an index of TV progs and online movies as I come across them - many are available to view online without downloading. Is there any way of
a. Removing menu options I don't use eg TV
b. indexing online programmes so I can view them in the same way as some of the you tube music movies?
