"Initializing DirectX" and then Freeze (1 Viewer)

So, to the problem:

I can config MediaPortal without problem, but once I try to start it it goes to "Initializing DirectX" and then it just completely freezes. What's wrong?

However, I'm using a swedish version of Windows, so I can't install that update because it's a different language (I get an error message when I try to do it). Can I get the swedish update anywhere?
