I saw this blog entry and got a vision about how nice MP's picture handler could be... Look at the demo video and dream for yourself...

The question is, when can this be a common smothly function in MP?

The one feature I have always liked in MCE is providing the thumbnail content (video, pictures, etc.) without borders (each thumbnail right next to the next thumbnail no whitespace between thumbnails) which gives more room for content, the informational text is displayed below. I wish the next version of MP also allows for this view method and to also allow this as a default if the user so desires. Currently MP has the following view modes: List, Icons, Big icons, & Filmstrip. It could be called Thumbnails just to differentiate between the icon view.

Looking at the video it just shows that a developer who wants to sink his (or her) teeth into a plugin could go to work on the my Pictures plugin and make an impact in this area! The geo-coding and min-thumbnail browse was very nice enhancements. Picture details section was nice bug tagging - Oh I would love to see tagging be a part of the my Pictures plugin, it would be... oh so nice to have it incorporated in the MP database to search and group.
