Install Error (2 Viewers)

I have just installed mediaportal primmary for the tv recording via XBMC, i have all that set up and installed but when i come to trying to set up the Tv server confiuration, i keep getting an error. I seem to have two SQL on my computer but know matter what i try it wont connect I have looked around but i cant see anything can someone shed any light on this.

I had an SQL error upon installation.

What i did was uninstall Media Portal, uninstall any SQL programs you have installed (if possible)

And re-run the Media Portal installation, and it will download the version of SQL you need and install/set it up for you.

That solved my issue, please try it, and reply back.

I had an SQL error upon installation.

What i did was uninstall Media Portal, uninstall any SQL programs you have installed (if possible)

You must also delete all present folders (install dir and programdata dir) of that old/not working sql server.
Otherwise the new install won't b able to replace the old files and just fail again.
