Install MP on Server or Workstation (1 Viewer)

I am currently running Swisscenter on my server to "serve" vob files to a couple of media players. I want to purchase a HDHomeRun and install MP to act as a PVR. Would running MP to record consume enouch resources to effect performance to serve vob files? If necessary, I can run MP on my workstation. Specs for each are below.

Server: Windows 2003 Server, Athlon XP 3200+, 512MB, 1.2TB RAID3
Workstation: Windows XP, Celeron 2.4GHz, 1GB

Have an eye on the new TV Server (still beta), it seems to be perfect for your needs.

Your specs are looking good so far, hard to say how it all would affect performance. Best is: Try it. You can uninstall it anytime & install it on you workstation. I bet that won't be needed.
