Hello,
I have an MP up and running - so far without TV tuner. Now I installed my new USB TV tuner (cinergy hybrid T XS): It works fine with the terratec TV software. However, when I start the setup and want to add a capture card, the tuner is not detected.
There is a section in the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml which contains my tuner. However, the PID in the xml (0042) differs from the PID mentioned with the driver (005e). So I changed the value in the xml file and tried again - I still doesn't work.

Do I have do prepare anything else before using the "add capture card" in the setup?
Can anybody give me a hint what I could check next?

Thanks

Same problem here too....MP sees that there's a Technotend S2-3200 installed, but I also have two Terratec Cinergy T USB XSs in my HTPC...so when I go to manually add them, MP reports "no capture cards were found, you will not be able to configure a capture card"

Checked the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml & the listed info for my card seems to match completely with the info under the driver details tab of the Terratec driver. (pid 0043)

My two Terratec Cinergy t USB XS Tuners work just fine in MCE & the supplied Terratec s/w....so why not MP?

Any progress yet? I'm having the same problem here. Tried the Graphedit solution, but it still doesn't recognize the card.

Same problem...I used GraphEdit and the procedure in this link:
http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Add_TVCard_to_natively_supported_list

Now it seems to be ok for the digital TV (I'm testing).

My CaptureCardDefinitions.xml
(verify devid, pin number and name in GraphEdit).

<capturecard commercialname="Terratec Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS" capturename="Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS Digital Capture" devid="vid_0ccd&pid_005e">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true"/>
<tv>
<interface cat="capture" video="3" audio="4" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="2"/>
<filters>
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"/>
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS Digital Tuner" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="capture" name="Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS Digital Capture" checkdevice="true"/>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="tunerdevice" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"/>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

Thanks patrizio! I did a cut and paste of your XML and MP sees my cinergy hybrid T USB XS.
I now have another problem - MP seems to freeze when I choose full screen.
